Meal Plan Monday
It's been awhile since I posted my meal plan. Ever since Laura started the Meal Plan Mondays I have been semi following a meal plan. I know in a 6-7 day time frame what we are eating and plan accordingly. It really does save on your grocery bill and prevents the hassle of trying to whip something up last minute for a hungry family of five.
As I am doing the Body for Life program I generally don't eat exactly what my fam damily is eating. I will substitute noodles, with whole wheat rice or occasionally a baked potato with ranch dressing.
Anyhow...here it is...
Monday:
Meatballs with an onion mushroom gravy served with Wild rice and a spinach salad.
Tuesday:
Chicken Cacciatore with a Caesar Salad.
Wednesday:
Tuna Casserole with a Tomato and Cucumber Salad.
Thursday:
Chicken Fajitas with a Salsa Salad.
Friday:
Slow Cooker Roast Beef with Roasted Garlic Potatoes, turnips and Corn.
Saturday:
Beef Dip(made from the extra Roast Beef) and Green Salad.
Sunday:
Dinner at my parent's house.
There it is folks. Simple but all favorites with our family. I try to incorporate a salad with every meal, even though it's only me and Scott that are eating most of it.

I followed the Body For Life program a few years ago, and loved it. Maybe I should try it again...

Love roast beef dinner but the best is the beef dip the next night..yummy! Looks like a great menu.

I think you proved here that "healthy meal" doesn't have to equal "yucky meal!" Have a great week.
What a healthy menu! I often have just steamed veggies with our meals because it's so easy to make. Those different salads add fun to eating veggies! Can you share some of your salad recipes?...Have a great week!
