It is official...after 33 years I am officially a Native American. Yesterday I received my notification in the mail. For those of you unaware, my mother is Native American and my father is Czech. So that makes me...Canadian, eh. I quickly picked up the phone to tell everyone of the good news. Mom was the first one on the list (even though she only lives one door down). "Hey mom, got good news, "I yelled in excitement, "I am an Indian!" (I know that it's not politically correct but if you are a First Nations person you can call yourself an Indian). The response was less than I expected, "Oh, yeah, hmm.."
My next exciting news is that "Oprah" is having a contest where someone could go to the Academy Awards...Imagine that. I even have my acceptance speech(best original screenplay) memorized. Oh wait, it is to attend the Oscars not receive an Oscar. Oh well,I can still dream of that day to come. I know my shot is one billion to one, but for this moment I am happy just thinking about that sliver of a chance.
The boys are all doing well. Jonas didn't want to go to school this morning. He is a little like his mother, a non-morning person. I was trying to get him out of bed this morning and he grumbled, "I am not going to school today!" Needless to say, he went to school, but wasn't exactly happy about it.
It is Wet, Wet, Wet today. So for those of you following my weather forecast should know that 3 wets equal a whole lotta rain. Another inside day for us. Yesterday we ventured to Tim Hortons and Walmart with Wendy. You can't say we don't show a person a good time!
Anyhow, I think I might go for a hunt, maybe even drop a big old fish net...So I'll leave you with this quote:
"The loving spirit is not defeated."-the Orulatum, Butler Yates
Have a great day!
