I'm Alive....

Well my blogtivity has left the building....like a looong time ago. I find myself starting posts, then rereading, then deleting, then contemplating...oy...so here I am trying to find something to write about.
I guess I could just update a bit with things going on around here. The b's are working. I can tell when I am not taking them. My exercise has been horrible the past few weeks, but once again I am on the wagon...(or is that off the wagon???) Last week I walked a couple of days and did a couple of days of elliptical workouts. Last night I headed to the gym, and felt like I was going to die. Scott has started running and I have agreed to him verbally that I will begin my walk/run program this Saturday.(Oh Lord, what have I gotten myself into??) I'll take pics of that day!
My mood has been all over the place. I really am tired of this weather. I NEED Spring...sunshine, birds chirping, millenium trail walks and bike rides. This morning we woke up to snow. Man, that Jesus sure does know how to pull an April Fools Day Prank.
Today marks the nine month anniversary since my dad died. It's weird I can feel it, without being fully aware of the day. Last night Scott and I had a little cry. He managed to make us laugh before it turned into a full blown ugly cry. Thankfully!!
My brother in law and family were here visiting us last week. It was an amazing visit. It was sad to see them go. I wish we didn't live so far away. During their visit we skated, bowled, went swimming in K*itimat at the new pool(can anyone say amazing!!)walked, tried to have weenie roast...and just hung out.
Scott and I during their trip got devirginized by visiting our local s*ex shop. I had never been into a s*ex shop before with my husband(and had only been once before in Victoria). It was an experience. We couldn't believe what sorts of things were available. I couldn't even figure most of the stuff out. There was one thing that was as long as a baseball bat. I thought maybe it was used to hit your hunny over the head and drag them into the bedroom, but was shocked when I was told what it was used for...and where?? I have to say I did feel slightly prudish, and had to remind myself that "each to their own...different strokes for different folks!!" I'm glad that my husband doesn't have a need for "s*ex on the go"cups...(all in different'flavours"....butts, vaginas....) or the blow up dolls. We both did a quick peruse made a few uncomfortable jokes and beelined quick for the door. It was quite the experience!
Seamus is growing like a bad weed. I can't believe how big he is getting. He will be turning 12 on Friday!! Holy crap..12 years!! Time is going by so fast I can't believe it!!
Last night Scott was complaining about me not washing my skillet(to brown my meat) and Gavin said to him, "well I guess dad you should start thinking about taking over the cooking if you're going to complain!" Man that boy is tuned! Scott said he did have to laugh over his comment.
We are going to be tackling painting our workout room in the next few weeks. I'll take a pic and upload it. I'm not sure what colour to paint it. I heart paint colours. I'm looking forward to go and pick out some swatches.
Anyhow...this post was effing dry....oy. Coming soon...pictures....loads of pics.
Hope all is well!!
:)

I'm a total prude too! I don't get a lot of what people are doing out there anymore, it's kind of freaky! I mean, to each their own, but I am sooooooo glad I'm an old married lady. So glad.

Painting again? Didn't you just finally get your colors right for the entryway? LOL!@!!

Ah, cave man romance. There's nothing so erotic as a burgeoning concussion.

Was there a bin full of those turtles like the one Gav has? 'Cause I need to get me one of them.

I've missed ya. Happy to hear what is happening in your life. Exciting Kitimat has a new pool - do you remember when Tamitik opened?
Sex shops - have only been in one once and felt embarrassed the whole time. Have been to a few parties - and they are always hillarious.
Have fun on your run - you will be very proud of yourself when you're done.

I've written and then erased three comments already. They're either too prissy or WAY too rude. So I'll just say.... yeah, I was here.

Oh Gwen, I would have loved to read a rude comment!!
Shan, turtle butt plugs...maybe we're on to something???LOL
Rox, I think that entryway fiasco is the reason it's taken us soooo long to even think about painting. Eeek!!

I'm not sure what to say (blush). Lol!

Gav and Rowyn need to get together someday...I can only imagine the conversations they'd have!

I'm glad you had a good visit with your family...I sure have been missing mine as of late (well I always miss them...but lately its been more). Friends come and go...but family remains!

Thanks for calling me this week to check up on me...it means a lot.

Word verification: leude...don't suppose any "leude" comments were made in the s*ex shop! Lol!

I starred your post and just found it tonight.. I had a good giggle :)
Random fact: I've been to the local shop and one in Vic too same as you.
I've had to go shopping a few times for a friend and sister who wanted to give gifts but were to young to go in. The first time I left there I was so embarrassed, plus the proprietor didn't help much. I am thinking I ever needed to buy anything (like funny shower gifts, online would be the way to go)

I love painting, but I dislike the prep process :p
