Hey, re: your last post, I read you get shin splints??
I've never met anyone else who gets this, I do all the time. They say it can be from old runners (which I have too) and weak calf muscles.
Tell me more, you ice your shins and that seems to help? Do you do anything else?
They started back when I started running last summer, and Sarah and i always thought it was weird that my shins would hurt, it was only a couple of months ago that we fund out what that actually is.

Nin, I actually don't get them anymore. I think I've built up my leg muscles. That's the only thing I can think of. When I did get them I'd ice them afterwards and pop a couple of advil.
I have also heard that old runners cause this.
Also how you run can cause shin splints. If you're stepping with heels (heel striking)as opposed to on the balls of your feet.
Not sure if any of this helped.
