~Josey informed us last week that he wants a Mohawk.
~Gavin went on his first field trip today and when I asked about it he said "I saw the biggest puddle!"
~I am driving for Seamus' class on Thursday for a field trip to look for Eulachons. I didn't want to drive, so I said I was unavailable, thinking another parent might step in. At the last moment I caved in,because no one else could drive and the field trip would have been canceled. I really didn't want to be spending all day on a river bank because Aunt Flow is scheduled for a visit tomorrow, which is no good for me...ugh...
But the sacrifices we make for our children...(this one is a big one and I'm documenting it for later use to show him!)
~I made 2 batches of Chocolate chip cookies and there are 8 cookies left...
~I made my first ever batch of sugar cookie dough...I'll let you know how that turns out.
~Scott was home today...I realize I don't like having him home mid week. Him going back on shift work will be an adjustment for me.
~I accomplished two things on my week list of things to do...I cleaned the van and cleaned out my purse. It took less time to clean out the van...
~My cat doesn't like me. He loves Scott and him and Scott "talk" to each other all the time. If I go to talk to him he looks at me and hisses...I found myself saying in a good ol' mobster voice today..."you talkin' to me? You talkin' to me?"to my hissing feline.
~Last week after picking Josey up from school I asked him if he thought of me during the day...his response..."I think of you all the time mommy...it's always you and CANDY!"
~Scott really irritated the fajoka out of me today...did I mention I don't like him being home midweek? He's constantly hanging the phone on the cradle, putting my tweezers and mirror back where they belong, sweeping the floor...I think I realize he's doing things I KNOW I should be doing...
~I've lost just over 10 pounds in the last couple of months...Yee Haw...I feel like I've gained 80 the past two days...I'm so friggin' bloated that I can't even bend over...
~I got something stuck in my top right side of my gum the other day. I decided I needed to floss...the floss broke and got stuck in the gum and I made a mess out of my gums...today after a frantic call to my dentist I managed to get the stuck floss out of my gums...not sure if whatever is still in there or not?...
~I've been really working on living on a budget the past couple of months. I decided that I wanted to have more money put into our savings account. I decided that Scott and I needed to get "allowances" every pay day. Scott has yet to spend his two week allowance in a one month time frame, and I have spent his, mine and everyone else's in a 3 day time frame. (I can't resist those Ctire sales!)
That's about all I can think of...
I lead a very BORING life folks...
Hope all is well...

you may think its boring but its very FULL!! I know thankful you are for the life you live!! love yeah!!
Are you going to let J. get a mowhawk?
I loved this post Jenny! I get irritated at Darin too. It's the nature of the beast!
Convince your son to do a faux hawk, just gel his hair rather than cut it.
Through(unintentional) clever parenting Jonas has decided he just wants a spikey do.
What's the clever parenting?
When Josey first told us he wanted a mohawk, Scott pulled a Gram on him(acted like his grandmother). In the same tone of his grandmother he said, "I(with a cackle)don't think so buddy."
I stepped in and said, "you really have to think hard about this decision Jonas...we'll discuss it this week.(I was rational...)
And Scott muttered and cackled..."I don't think so buddy".
Afterwards I said to Scott..."we have to not jump down his throat...let's discuss this and list the pros and cons..."
So Josey has had the opportunity to think of the pros..."his friend M has one..."~"it's cool"..."~it's different..."
But he never thought of the cons..
We told him that people will probably stare...laugh and even call you names.
Last night Scott told Josey that when he was a kid he had a spikey do(which he boasts that he "brought the fashion"into his hometown...")and he was nicknamed Rooster and to this day his one friend still calls him that...
that convinced Jonas.
(a big sigh of relief)
I really think it's ironic though that my husband who used to love being a carefree spirit who lived life on the edge has turned into the uptight parent...it's funny.
Wow...I should have posted this comment..
Hey there Jenny
I loved this post.......it may not seem exciting to you...but it's great for me to hang out with you and just listen to what's going on....your boys just crack me up...and I agree with you with having the hubby home mid week.....I really don't like it! I have Wednesday's and Thursday's off so I like those days to myself but this week my inlaws are up....so no peace & quiet this week for me. Oh well.....I need to put on my thankful hat again I think....LOL
Blessings on your day girl.
Rooster - Isn't that the bad guy on Annie? Tim Curry, I think. Right on.
