Some Wady

We have a really cool feature with our phones. We have an intercom feature.(I'm sure a lot of us have the same feature) So we use this to phone another person in the house. Lots of times it's out of laziness...or sometimes it's kind of fun...(TMI)
This afternoon I decided to give Gav a call. All weekend he has been bugging me to "waybe(maybe) make some cookies."
I decided that this afternoon would be the perfect opportunity to make a batch of his favorite chocolate chip cookies.
I called downstairs and Scott picked up the phone and gave it to Gavin.
"Hey Gavin..how are you?"I asked.
"I'm good...I'm watching daddy pway a video game."he replied.
"That sounds like fun"I answered.
"Yep it's wots of fun."he cheerfully replied.
"Do you wanna make some cookies?"I asked.
"Cookies...Yippee! Hooway!!...We are gonna make cookies!"he said with enthusiasm.
"Okay...I'll see you in a couple of minutes...bye!"I responded.
"Bye." he said and we both hung up.
I was downstairs within a couple of minutes and Scott was talking to Gavin....
"who was that on the phone?"he asked.
"Some Wady."he said.
"Some lady?...What did she want?"he asked while giving me a wink.
"Some wady is coming over to make me some cookies!"he said.
"Oh...you didn't know who the lady was on the phone?"Scott asked.
"Yah...I told you it was some Wady."he said.
Well we all had a chuckle but then I was a little sad that my son didn't recognize my voice...
but then I realized that I don't think I have ever really talked to him on the phone. Not a big deal.
Anyhow we made a great batch of his favorite cookies and afterwards he said to me...
"I wike that you made the cookies with me Mommy... not some Wady!"
It just made me smile!
