Deep Thoughts with Jenny

Yesterday after 5 minutes of batting my eyelashes purposefully at my husband I looked over and seductively said, "babe, do you notice anything different about me?"
He nonchalantly answered in a monotone response, "your eyelashes look LONG and LUSH!"
I almost choked...he noticed....it worked. I found my dream mascara. I felt like I was living my covergirl commercial....and then...
"You know Jen"Scott said while interrupting my fantasy, "I do read Facebook."
(and for those not on my facebook...well let's just say I was quite delighted to find a perfect mascara)
Today my hubby was feeling rather stressed. I was trying out a new eye moisturizer and was commenting on whether or not my eyes were beginning to look a little wrinkle pruned. "If someone just pulled a little here, this line would go away."I stated.
"Uh-huh."he replied.
"And do you like the colour of my hair?" I asked(my mom had just dyed my hair) as I did a big Tyra Banks-ish shake of my mane.
"Jen"he said with a stern look on his face, "I'm a little stressed out....can't quite think about mascaras and hair dyes."
There was a moment of silence and then the unthinkable happened. I was just about to bring out my one finger...not "the finger",but the pointer finger and go "all apeshit" on him. Instead we looked at each other and started to laugh.
It was quite a funny moment actually and I'm glad my narcissistic behaviour could give him some comic relief.
But he didn't answer my question....grrrr!

I'm having some serious self induced sickness as we speak. It started in the morning as I decided to eat the ass out of the chocolate Easter bunny. It gave me a rush...a high...I felt like I was on top of the world. So feeling rather daring and a little foolish, I decided I'd finish the poor guy off and ate through his ears. From ass to ears....and I feel like I could go have a serious nap. Nothing like a hangover from cheap chocolate....Was it worth it? No. Will I do it again? Probably yeah.
Today was a low key Easter celebration for us. Scott is on night shift, so my mom stayed overnight and we had Easter brunch together. Tonight I am going to watch "The Passion"and spend some much needed time alone giving thanks and praise for all He sacrificed.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!!

Personally...I start with the ears and eat the ass last! Lol!

I still have never seen The Passion. I was thinking about it last night as the Ten Commandments was on TV. I guess I'll have to watch it one of these days...I know though, that I'll have to be in the right frame of mind to watch it...not something that I will be able to take lightly, thats for sure.

I'm glad you found the mascara of your dreams...and Scott's too...;) Its tough finding the right one...and I'm not being sarcastic either...some are smudgy, some are gloppy and clumpy and some are flaky!

I can just see the two of you cracking up after his stressed out comment.

Happy Easter to you all!

It's good not to take yourself too seriously.

If my husband noticed something about my appearance I'd have him in bed in two seconds.

In bed with a THERMOMETER, that is, because he'd obviously be delirious with fever.

I love that he admitted that he reads facebook!

No kidding, Shan. I walked around the house yesterday without any makeup, in an old Smirnoff shirt and sweatpants, and didn't brush my hair or teeth at all. His comment? "There's something different about you today." Although I guess that could be taken as a mild compliment.
