Blessings...

Taking my cue from the lovely Sarah I thought I'd do a list of blessings...

1. I am blessed by the love of my family. I can't imagine not having the support I have from my husband. There is something to be said about a man that hurts deeply with you, cries with you and just loves you deeply. These past few weeks have been horribly tough and we have gone through them together...Love is beautiful. I am blessed to have the love from my sister who sometimes has to step in and act like the big sister, because her older sister is an emotional wreck!!
2. I am thankful that I have faith in Jesus. I have leaned deeply on Him these past weeks. I am at peace with my Dad dying, but it still is extremely difficult.
3. I am blessed by amazing inlaws. My MIL, FIL, and other FIL(Scott's mom remarried)came up to be with us during the memorial. When we first found out about my dad we headed to Jaffray and were surrounded by love, comfort and support from all of Scott's family.
4. Friendships...man I have beautiful friends. To everyone that sent me and my family well wishes, cards, flowers, prayers...to my friends that cried with me(Shari, Penny), and was there for moral support...THANK YOU!! To all the beautiful gals(Char, Joni, Michelle,Gwen, Christy, Tanya and Ruth...eventhough we cancelled we appreciated that you were going to do that for us! )who brought us food all week...THANK YOU!! We were amazed at the support and the kindness. Joni, thanks for your caring ways...you're a gem and we are BLESSED to have you and your family in our lives. Gwen, thanks for organizing the food...I love you gal!
5. I am thankful for laughter...laughter is a good cure for any heartache. We have had some good laughs this past month. (one on the day that Dad died. The nurse asked if we wanted to donate his corneas and my mom said, "you want his eyes??!!" "He couldn't see!!" and then I said, "he fingered me once...umm....I think if we gave anyone his eyes we'd be involved in a malpractise law suit!!)
6. I am thankful that I didn't gain 10 pounds this month....eeshh...it was only 4! Back on track...I went for a walk tonight. (And it was tough...yikes...gotta lot of catching up!!)Will menu plan and do my workouts this week!
7. I am thankful for good health. I am very lucky I am not diabetic, or have high blood pressure. My biggest problem(no pun intended)is that there is a little too much of mama for my liking...
.....
Will continue some tomorrow....
:)

I still LOL when I think of you telling the story about the eye's!

We should all be thankful for what we have...so many of us forget to remember that we are blessed, we all are in one way or another...its too bad that most of us never realize it!

Great post!

Oh, I just saw this great post... I've been off blogs for a while, just hanging with the fam! I like the idea of counting your blessings, it's something I think I'll do TODAY!
