Seasons Greetings!!!

Seasons Greetings to my friends, family, and fellow lurkers!
My family is currently in Edmonton. We arrived on Wednesday evening after a stressful drive. On route into the city we almost hit a truck/trailer. He pulled out at the last moment and swerved into our lane. It was very scary. We then got lost in the city and drove around for an hour and a half trying to find my sister's house. It was relief when we got here. Yesterday we went to the mall and then played poker with my sis and her boyfriend. It was an awesome night.
Today was mellow and I got to spend some time with my sis at the mall again. I love being with her!
Tomorrow night we are having our Christmas dinner and then heading out to check out the lights. It will be fun, fun fun!!
Christmas is truly the most wonderful time of the year. On Sunday we are heading to Jaffray. I am looking forward to the visit, but will be sad that I will be leaving my sister and her family behind.
Anyhow seeing how it's been awhile since I've updated, I thought I'd give a brief synopsis of what has been happening with moi!
Health and Fitness:
I am happy to report that I have become a gold star member of the couch potato club. This past month I have done nothing. I actually fell off of a step ladder in the shop and hurt my knee and shoulder. Scott was quite annoyed that I didn't practise the 4 point safety. Not sure what the hell that means, so obviously I cannot even practise it.
Originally this past year I lost 34 pounds. Then I gained another 4 pounds in the past 3 weeks, but when I weighed myself the other day I had lost 5?? So I think I'm back to where I started.
I love this time of the season and wonder if chewing counts for any kind of burning calories? I just finished a delightful bite of shortbread...mmmmmm...
The boys got some new skis and we are looking forward to using our ski pass when we get home!!!
Family:
My boys are all doing wonderfully.
I will share you Gavin's letter to Santa.
Dear Santa,
I have been a good boy. Today I didn't bite my nails or pick my nose. I want a transformer.
Bye.
Gavin
I laughed so hard when he read this to me. Too adorable.
Seamus made honor roll again and we are very proud of him. Jonas doesn't get letter grades but did well .
We just had Josey's birthday party at the bowling alley. It was fun!! I have to say that my patience level was put to test that night. Probably doesn't help that we had Scott's Christmas party the night before and both Scott and I were a little under the weather. We took some videos of the boys bowling and whenever we get a new computer I'll post some of the video.
School:
I begin my upgrading in January. I am only doing one course this semester and it is a self paced course. Ughh...should be challenging. It's Chem 11 and it will be interesting. I didn't want to jump in with 2 courses...I need to ease myself into this school thing. I still am not sure if I will make the deadline for registering for next September. Not sure if I want to start then. We'll see, I'm not too worried about it. I'm just concentrating on the upgrading!!
Nekkidness:
I am bracefree and loving life. I've seriously gone through a few packs of gum in the past 3 days. I love chewing gum and hadn't been able to chew with the braces on. So it's been awesome. At first when I got my braces off I was a little taken back by my reflection.
I said to my ortho: "Holy crap, I'm dankay from Shrek!! My ortho kindly told me that I was slightly overreacting. All I saw in the mirror were very large white teeth!
I have since got used to my reflection. They look damn fine!
I will be waxing in Jaffray and will get my Dh to take a picture.
Shopping:
I'm almost shopped out. My budget...okay, who the heck are we kidding...all I can say is What budget??...The boys got some wonderful gifts as usual. I love Christmas morning when the boys are giddy with excitement and opening their presents. It's awesome!
I have a few odds 'n ends to get. If I didn't get them I'm sure no one would be the wiser, but I would know and it would bother me that I didn't get everything on my list. I'm a bit of a freak I guess.
Marriage and Love:
I'm happy to report that I am still married to my husband. We don't travel well together. I laughed at our friends that told us(the other night at Scott's work party) that they couldn't imagine us fighting!! Helloo!! Last week I had a major hissy fit at Scott after I couldn't get my satellite radio back on the windshield. I was yelling at him from the van and he was standing in our window bellowing right back.
Love is grand. If anyone sees a silver minivan along the streets of Edmonton with two people looking slightly erratic then chances are it is us.
Love is grand.
A Whole Lotta Nothingness:
I am racking my brain trying to think of what I have been doing and have basically come to the conclusion, not too much. It's been nice though. To be honest it's been a good break away from the computer. We will be buying one in the New Year. We are not sure what kind we are getting. Any suggestions??
Anyhow I leave you now to visit with my family. I hope you are all safe, warm and happy surrounded by those that you love!
Peace
~Jenny

About looking like dankay...I remember when Jason got his braces off, it was the same thing...all I saw was teeth!! But I bet...well I know you look awesome...can't wait to see a pic!

Enjoy your time away from here...I envy you! Also enjoy some "REAL" shopping...I'm so jealous, I need some real retail therapy...Walmart does not count!

Take care, Merry Christmas...and safe travels!

Helllloooooo Jenny! Glad to have you back! I think I'm envious of your sabbatical from the computer. I think I'm a bit addicted, and I'm considering taking a long break over CHristmas.

LOVE Gavin's letter to Santa.
