I HAD A BAD DAY

Yesterday I had a terrible day. I had quite an emotional breakdown. Out of respect for those involved I won't get into details. A lot of turmoil and emotions from my past came hitting me dead on and hard.
At one point during the day I was wiping away my tears and being comforted by Scott. I looked over at him and said, "I refuse the negativity of the past to ruin my day anymore." Then I thought about all the positive things in my life. I reread my previous post and remembered that I am who I am, because of struggles. I have the power to be the person I want to be. I don't want to wallow my days in tears and feel sorry for a situation that I have no control over. I owe it to myself and to my husband and children to be the best person I can be.
This is a struggle. I find I want to relive certain negative experiences and then I start to feel the anger and sadness build up inside of me.
I managed to have a good day inspite of the circumstances. I woke up today having a bit of sadness, but I kept recharging my spirit with positivity.
I kept saying this to myself yesterday, "la vita e bella(life is beautiful)".
Remember... you have the power to make your days good or bad. It's really really difficult sometimes, but it's the little things that can make a difference in a bad day...for example, a smile. So I hope all my friends out there are having a great day. If you're not then take the time to have a smile...you'll feel better!!(Watch a funny movie, funny commercial...laughter is perfect for the aching soul!!)
(If I had a scanner I'd scan my passport photo...actually you all wouldn't smile, but probably scream in fear!! Seriously the UGLIEST picture I have ever seen!!! You know it's bad when you say to your hubby, "hun, don't you be showing anyone at work this pic(his boss is signing the passport papers for us) and he replies, "don't worry...I wouldn't!")
Enjoy your day!
Jenny

Well I'm glad you told me what was up, even if you didn't want to. There's not much one can say, except for what you said...smile, it'll make you feel better.

I'm going to find that picture someday, me and your boys...haha!

I hope you're feeling better!! Keep looking up!
