100 Things About Me...

1. I was named Tina Louise for 2 weeks...named after Jennifer O'Neill.
2. At the age of 4 my parents began calling me Jenny (thanks to my Best friend at the time's dad)
3. I love musicals of any kind.
4. I have seen Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables in London 10 years ago. (Fantastic performance)
5. I also saw 2 operas in Vienna.
6. I plan on going to New York City with my husband and seeing a couple of Broadway productions as well as the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.
7. I love art and Museums. Some of the ones I have seen are: The Louvre, The Van Gogh, The Picasso, Salvadore Dali, and the Rembrandt.
8. I can do a fine Grand Plie.
9. When I was a young girl I dreamed of being a ballerina. I have seen only one live Ballet...absolutely loved it.
10. I am a recovering Chocoholic...I have the odd binge,but generally speaking I have gained control of this addiction.
11. I love writing Essays.
12. It takes me a long time to fall asleep at night. Usually I spend a good amount of time dreaming about how I will decorate someone's space.
13. I get excited at the thought of choosing a paint colour for a room. (I just brought home a whack of them today for the entry way)
14. I was once told by an old lady on an airplane that "people would pay big money for your nose sweetie!" Since then I have grown to love my schnoz.
15. I pluck my eyebrows every day. I DO NOT go a day without plucking.
16. I floss daily.
17. I have only had one cavity. My dad has never had any.
18. My sagging gut is the one physical aspect I am least happy about.
19. I love buying books, but don't find the time to read them.
20. I have written 2 short stories and have never shared them with anyone.
21. I can give the toe to someone...(just like flipping the bird, but using your toe to do so!)
22. I like routine.
23. I went caving in Hungary Budapest and this was very scary for me. ( I don't like confined spaces)
24. I can snowboard.
25. I love to Cross Country Ski.
26. But I hate being Cold.
27. I remember saying goodbye to my grandma and often think of the conversation we had. I was 3 years old and she died 2 weeks later after we had moved to the West.
28. The colour mustard yellow gives me a headache.
29. I am good at math.
30. I count things in a room. For instance if there are ceiling tiles I count the ceiling tiles.
31. I have won every jellybean contest I have entered. (3 in total).
32. I have a calculation to win these contests.
33. Okay...I'm a little odd! I'm the first to admit this!
34. I don't like dirty bathrooms. I actually find them creepy.
35. I love Red Wine, but hardly drink it anymore.
36. Loreena McKennit makes me cry...I love her music...especially accompanied by a hot bubble bath and the above mentioned glass of.
37. I like Eminem.
38. I tried something for the first time last week that always intimidated me...yoga! And I am no longer intimidated...I want to do more!
39. I got my first speeding ticket last week!(the kids weren't in the van BTW.)
40. I love playing Texas Hold Em, but am really bad at bluffing...my face is easily read!
41. One of my wildest dreams is to act in a play onstage in front of a live audience.
42. Wuthering Heights(the one with Juliet Binonche and Ralph Fiennes acting in) and Tess of the D'Urbervilles( 1998 movie)are two of my favourite books and movies.
43. The English Patient is my all time favourite book and movie.
44. I love Shakespeare.
45. I like movies with Gwyneth Paltrow in it.
46. I don't like Julia Roberts.
47. I don't wear a wedding ring. (my fingers look like sausages with it on.)But I am just as commited to my marriage and my husband.
48. I got ID'd in the liquor store 1.5 years ago.
49. That made my week!
50. I am going to become a fulltime student next September 2007.
51. I am a good spellur...most of the time.
52. I can watch a Fish Called Wanda many times and still laugh at the same scenes.
53. I love black and white photography.
54. I love antiques. My dream is to have my house with lots of antiques mixed amongst the modern.
55. I drink coffee in the morning and tea in the evening.
56. I gave up drinking pop 10 months ago, but on occasion I will have one.
57. I am blind as a bat without my contacts in or glasses on. Someday I fear I may need both contacts and glasses(worn together)!
58. I loved the book "Bridge Across Forever" by Richard Bach....Blue...bluer...bluest
59. I tiptoe.
60. As a result of tiptoeing I have wide feet.
61. I have short little toes.
62. I have good intuition.
63. I should listen to it more.
64. I only listen to these stations on my satellite radio: The Pulse, The 80's, Alt Nation and Hair Nation.
65. I come from a family of Karaoke singers....much to my hubby's embarassment.
66. I love to dance. I grabbed Scott the other day to dance to Keith Urban's "Making Memories of Us."
67. I just had to play that song to listen to.
68. Our first dance as a married couple was Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World".
69. I loved my wedding day, ceremony and reception and would do everything the same.
70. I was married before...
71. At the age of 5 to a boy named Neil Armstrong.
72. It was also a garden ceremony. I wore shoes to it though.
73. I used to scrapbook...but haven't done so in 4 years.
74. This is something I want to do again soon. I worry my youngest son will have a complex because I didn't start a book for him.
75. I love pottery and would like to take a pottery class.
76. I am not mechanically inclined.
77. My favourite time of the year is Christmas.
78. I love spaghetti, but can't remember the last time I ate it.
79. I developed a shellfish allergy 4 years ago.
80. I choked on a salmon bone as a child and had to have the heimlich manoever performed on me.
81. I used to feed my sister dirt when she was a young girl.
82. I used to booby trap her crib when she was a baby.
83. She is now one of my best friends.
84. I once hid in a dryer playing hide and seek and my brother turned the dryer on. I did 3 turns and then my mom came and stopped it and took me out.
85. I don't spank my children.(I use other forms of discipline that have worked for me)
86. My husband has on serious issues.
87. I don't like bad manners.
88. I sing out loud whenever I have the opportunity (much to my family's dislike)
89. I worry about whether or not we will have put away enough for my boys' education.
90. I can beat my husband at Chess.
91. This pisses him off...
92. He beats me at Poker....
93. This really pisses me off.
94. Anytime we play a game someone in the family will say, "you cheat in the game...you cheat in life!" It's a game cheer someone always says.
95. This phrase was coined by my darling BIL after a heated cheat filled game of Star Wars Monopoly that almost ended family relations.
96. I mentioned this phrase in my speech to him at his wedding.
97. I can't tolerate dicrimination of any kind...racial or sexual.
98. I believe in equal rights for all...including same sex benefits for homosexual couples.
99. I'm a socialist and a feminist.
100. I truly love my life, as cheesy as it may sound with all the quirks and imperfections I am blessed beyond measure in my marriage, in my family and with those I have close relationships to.
Phew...that was tough!

That was great, I particularly liked #59. And "A Fish Called Wanda" -- right on. "I'm a good lover - at least, I used to be, back in the early 14th century. Can we go to bed?"

Ok...You were married before? I thought I had missed something, then I read the next line...phew!

And that flipping the toe thing, you're going to have to show me that!

LOL...you had me on the married before line too! What an awesome list...I really enjoyed reading it. I would love to go to NYC myself one day and I also pluck my eyebrows every day...its an obsession cause otherwise I'd have a unibrow! I've never seen the English Patient...I think I should. Laura

oh my gosh! when i saw you had written k-k-ken is c-c-coming to k-k-k-kill me, i almost rolled over with laughter!! I LOVE that movie!! if you only knew how many times i quoted that line! ha ha. thanks for reminding me!!
