It's 12:30 am and I am waiting for my last batch of cookies to be done. The past few weeks I have made cookies 2-3 times a week. This obsession of mine started after I was reading the label of one of the store bought packages of cookies and I didn't really like what I saw for the ingredients. I decided I wanted to know what ingredients my boys were eating and made the decision to not buy cookies for awhile. I have discovered a love for baking cookies. Since then I have been making cookies...usually in the evenings when the whole family is asleep.
Tonight I made a classic peanut butter cookie. You can never fail with the ol' peanut butter cookie. This one is one of Scott's favourites. Actually he is a bit of a cookie fiend...he likes them all. I also made an oatmeal, banana, butterscotch chip cookie. Very tasty...
Saturday I made oatmeal raisin cookies (my favourite) , a Peanut Butter Oatmeal cookie (another delicious one) and the Uber delicious Chocolate Chip cookie. Can you believe we ate all those cookies since Saturday?? We have become the Cookie Factory...only we are eating all the profits!!
I haven't been able to eat too much these days because I either have an ulcer or gallbladder problems. I did have some soup today, 2 slices of an orange and.....2 PB cookies and one Oatmeal-banana-butterscotch chip cookies. I actually don't mind this diet!!!
Anyhow my timer is going to go off in the next couple of minutes...
What's your favourite cookie recipe??
Have a great night!

it would be awesome to tell you - if i ever baked...
Jenny I can feel your pain, I've had both gall bladder problems and ulcers...not too pretty!!
Home baked cookies are the best...I once tried freezing them to stop from eating...I realized that they were good frozen too!
ditto with Janelle.....don't bake.
I've tried, over and over and over, I've chalked it up to, some people are born with the ability to bake, others are not. So I don't waste my time anymore, I just eat other people's cookies :)
I never used to bake but I have really got into it. I enjoy it and like I said I can control what ingredients my family is eating! Although a cookie diet isn't great for the troubling waistline!
