A Sad Day

I shared a few tears today with many around the world. Dana Reeve lost her battle with lung cancer. She lived her life with dignity and grace and I felt deeply saddened that this woman lost her fight. I've always admired her courage and grace. She stood by her husband through the good and the bad times. She stood by with pride and love. A year after her husband died she was stricken with lung cancer, even though she never smoked a day in her life. I applaud her strength and grace. What struck me most was she never wanted sympathy. She accepted the fate of life and dealt with it. She fought a strong battle, but in the end the evil cancer took her life. I'm not sure that I would have the same strength. Say a prayer for our loved ones, the sick and the healthy. Say a prayer for the children left behind from this horrible illness. Say a prayer that someday we will find a cure for cancer. No one is immune from this horrible illness that seems to affect so many.

I cried when I read the news. Their poor little boy, to lose both his dad and his mom while still so young is tragic. I hope he heals and has an amazing life.

I was so sad to hear that she died.....how hard that must be for the boy......only 13 and no parents! It reminds me that every day is precious and that I need to make each day count.

i cried for her too...but mostly for Will. what a strong kid he is going to be, and what incredible parents he was given.
we can learn SO much from that family! faith, love, hope, perseverance, courage & unity.
