Only Time...

I have always loved listening to music. My earliest memories usually have a song that is somehow attached to it. I have a varied taste in music. When I am driving around town doing errands I love to rock out to the music of the 80's. When I am happy and at peace I love listening to Enya and Lorenna Mckennint. Their music touches my soul. When I listen to Enya I relive all sorts of feelings. Years ago when my husband (then boyfriend) decided to explore other countries on a year long travelling adventure I was a little nervous about the whole situation. I never doubted our love or devotion to each other, but I did have certain reservations. Still I held a brave face and with his heart and soul in my front pocket I bid him farewell. I wasn't sure what the future held for each of us. My only certainty was the love I knew we had for each other.
The phone calls were few and far between. I did receive letters and postcards all of which confirmed his devotion to me. I never once doubted our commitment to each other; however, on many nights I would listen to "Enya" and shed a few tears of lonliness and of love. On these occasions I would replay the same song over and over again. The songs gave me peace and reassurance. The beauty of the words spoke through me and reconfirmed everything I knew that lived within my heart. Some of my friends couldn't understand how "I would let" my boyfriend who "loved me so much" go away indefinately. All I knew was that when he did come back he wouldn't leave...He came back with a heart full of love and we never looked back. Whenever I listen to any song from "Enya" I am reminded of our love for each other. I know there are times when we take each other for granted. I am glad that I can remember the reason I shed so many tears. Only time tells it all...

My husband always says life is a song because we can come up with a song for just about any circumstance.

Keep up the good work with your diet...you encouraged me. thanks

oh what a lovely song. I really do love Enya. My sad music at times when I felt down was Enigma.

Happy belated birthday to your son - my daughter turned 9 the day after :)
